There is no doubt that images spice up your blog posts. They are an essential inclusion for any website but many bloggers and website owners are at a loss as to how to find images that can be legally used on commercial sites.
So here is a list of places that you can explore to see if they match what you are looking for. All sites, but one, are free. Some require attribution , others don’t so you can check via the link that appears beneath the website screenshot or via the site itself.
Sources of Website Images & Illustrations
This is a site that I really enjoy. They have a huge collection of images in the public domain which allows you to use the images as you wish.

This site has a huge gallery of photos and illustrations.
This site allows you to search across a number of image sites. I like the fact that you can specify the purpose of the image. That is, you can search for images that may by used on commercial sites for example.
But do check out the licenses. Many simply require attribution and a link back to the site but you need to check.

This site boasts millions of photos from Creative Commons collections.

Here you can find free images, photos, drawings, videos and audio.
Many of these images can be used without attribution (in public domain) but always check to make sure.
This is a site that I have used frequently. The images require attribution and are clearly marked if the requirements differ.

This is another site that I have used a lot in the past. This is not a free site but is very economically priced. You purchase credits that you use as you download an image.
